As I See It by N. L. Preston
This is my monthly column in Bingo Bugle magazine. It has nothing to do with my friend, Shirley, or dissociative identity disorder. I write on a variety of topics, not all are about bingo. Bingo Bugle is a national bingo and gaming newspaper featuring monthly articles where you can read about new bingo halls opening in your area, special bingo game events like Cosmic Bingos and Mega/Super Bingos, and major Bingo news stories that are exclusive only to this newspaper.

Pinterest / For collecting and organizing things you love
A pin starts with an image or video you add to Pinterest. You can add a pin from a website using the Pin It bookmarklet or upload an image right from your computer. Any pin on Pinterest can be repinned, and all pins link back to their source. A board is where you organize your pins by topic. Boards can be secret or public, and you can invite other people to pin with you on any of your boards. When you follow someone, their pins show up in your Pinterest home feed. You can follow all of someone's boards or just the ones you like best. I have three boards:
Multiple Personality Disorder, Bingo Fanatics, and Gambling Gal

The Hidden Paintings / Shirley Mason's Art
A cache of 103 paintings were found locked in a closet in the basement of Shirley Mason’s Lexington home. They had been hidden for nearly a quarter century until they were located shortly after her death in 1998. These paintings, many of which were unsigned, span the years of 1943, eleven years before starting psychotherapy with Dr. Wilbur, to 1965, the year of her successful integration. They include the only examples of artwork presumably created by the alternate selves. To see Shirley's art and prints, visit:

Ann's Multiple World of Personality
Books, blogs, links, all kinds of information about being multiple by Ann Garvey
A note from Ann Garvey, an amazing lady: I would like to use new-found expertise in Adult Education: e-Learning, Technology and Design to work with Multiples (Dissociative Identity Disorder - DID). I would like to establish online learning opportunities to discover more and better information about multiplicity for themselves and for interested others. I am a multiple "thought leader" learning through education about dissociation and interested in curating and developing knowledge networks through social media platforms. I am also an enthusiastic Quilter!

Astraeae's Web / Support and Information
On this page, Multiplicity means a group of people sharing a single body...nothing more, nothing less. Not merely a diagnosis. Not a pathological disorder, and not always a defense against childhood trauma. Not MPD/DID. These are the labels that people in the psychiatric community use to describe an experience they have never had and can't fully understand. On this page, you are not confined to the language of psychotherapy. On this page, you need not think of yourself as a hopeless, broken basket case, unable to cope with or function in society, simply because there are many people living with you in your body... whether or not they came about because of abuse or tragedy in your past. On this page, self- and selves-definition take precedence over what anyone else may say about you. On this page, media lies and controversies are challenged. http://www.astraeasweb.net/plural/

Merck Manual / Dissociative Identity Disorder
Dissociative identity disorder, formerly called multiple personaity disorder, is characterized by 2 identities (called alters or self-states) that alternate. The disorder includes inability to recall important personal information relating to some of the identities. The cause is almost invariably overwhelming childhood trauma, and the disorder is best viewed as a developmental disorder in which extreme trauma interferes with formation of a single cohesive identity. Diagnosis is based on history, sometimes with hypnosis or drug-facilitated interviews. Treatment is long-term psychotherapy, sometimes with drug therapy. Read more...
